Job Summary
Provide onsite and oncall system administration and operational support for mission systems at Vandenberg SFB, performing troubleshooting of hardware, software, network, and performance issues while executing preventive and corrective maintenance. Conduct firstline user support and training, manage incident response and recovery activities, and oversee backup and restore operations to maintain data integrity. Collect operational logs and incident reports, ensure procedural compliance, and act as a technical resource for performance optimization and management status reporting. For Lead roles, coordinate work assignments, track tasks, and mentor junior staff. Minimum active TS/SCI clearance required.
Required Qualifications
- 11+ years of relevant experience in systems or network administration, systems support, or similar technical roles in secure, mission critical (DoD or similar) environments
- Strong leadership capabilities in directing project/task execution across domains such as maintenance, integration, and data management
- Experience allocating resources, monitoring progress, and ensuring quality deliverables
- Demonstrated ability to resolve operational issues and provide precise, timely status updates to management and stakeholders
- Experience managing schedules and aligning tasks with program objectives to support integrated operations across functional domains
- Strong documentation skills for logs, incident reports, and technical records
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field
- Equivalent DoD/Military training in systems administration, network operations, or a related technical discipline
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Holds a DoD 8140 qualifying certification
