Job Summary
Instruct weekly ninja classes for preschool, beginner, and intermediate athletes while creating a welcoming environment aligned with Dominique Dawes Academy's holistic child development philosophy. Provide age-appropriate instruction that challenges students, offering verbal and physical spotting to ensure safety and skill progression. Maintain a clean training space, monitor athletes for injuries, and positively engage with parents before and after sessions. Collaborate with teammates for smooth class transitions and attend required staff training, team meetings, and seasonal evaluations. Available for weekday afternoon/evening and weekend morning shifts during the school year.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age: 16 years old
- Must be available for consistent weekly scheduling during the school year
- Ability to demonstrate physical skills and actively engage with students
- Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, lifting, and moving equipment
- Must be able to spot athletes safely and provide physical assistance as needed
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs. and work in a physically active, fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with children in instructional, athletic, or recreational settings (preferred)
- Background in sports, or another movement-based discipline (preferred)
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
