Job Summary
Instruct weekly ninja classes for preschool through intermediate athletes, providing age-appropriate skill progressions, verbal and physical spotting, and safety corrections. Create a welcoming environment aligned with holistic child development while maintaining clean training spaces and managing equipment setup. Positively engage with parents before and after sessions to provide feedback and build community, collaborating with teammates to ensure smooth class transitions. Monitor athletes closely for injuries and respond promptly to safety concerns following gym protocols. Represent the academy's values of respect and excellence in all interactions during weekday afternoon/evening and weekend morning shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age: 16 years old
- Must be available for consistent weekly scheduling during the school year
- Ability to demonstrate physical skills and actively engage with students
- Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, lifting, and moving equipment
- Must be able to spot athletes safely and provide physical assistance as needed
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with children in instructional, athletic, or recreational settings
- Background in sports, or another movement-based discipline
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
