Job Summary
Assist line crews with construction, maintenance, and repair of electric distribution systems, including operating aerial lifts and digger trucks. Act as a safety observer for crews working on energized lines and gather, inspect, and load materials for daily assignments. Maintain vehicles, tools, and work areas in safe working order while supporting both underground and overhead electrical work. Perform on-call duty for outages, emergencies, and after-hours work including holidays, evenings, and weekends. Must obtain and maintain a valid Indiana CDL Class A within six months of hire and reside within a 15-mile radius of the Greenfield, IN service territory.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to work at heights up to 100 feet and in varied terrain and weather
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Indiana CDL (Class A required) within 6 months of hire
- Reside (bonafide residence) within the perimeters of NineStar service territory (15 miles radius from 2243 E Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140)
- Perform on-call duty for outages, emergencies, and after-hours work, including some holidays, evenings, and weekends
