Job Summary

Coordinate Board agendas, prepare meeting packets, and ensure proper setup for District Board meetings held after regular business hours. Maintain official records, minutes, resolutions, and ordinances while managing election paperwork, annual filings, and Form 700 submissions. Support the Compliance Office with contract development and act as a positive ambassador for the District to internal staff, medical teams, and the public. Perform duties as an administrative assistant when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in a CA hospital administration office or other related experience
  • Evidence of leadership potential to the satisfaction of the Administrator
  • Management concentration or major
  • At least one year of experience in a CA hospital
  • Knowledge of the implications of being a non-profit, County-affiliated organization
  • Bachelor's degree or AA degree
  • Previous healthcare, hospital experience
  • Windows based computer environment and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with other team members and departments
  • Conduct, appearance, and work performance shall be of professional quality
  • Knowledge of the Mission, Vision, and Values of Northern Inyo Healthcare District
  • Knowledge of NIHD policies and procedures, including Compliance Program, Code of Conduct, and Confidentiality standards
  • Knowledge of NIHD safety policies and procedures, including the Rainbow Chart, Employee Health, and Infection Prevention standards
  • Knowledge of Role, purpose and authority of governing boards
  • Knowledge of Rules and regulations governing the conduct of public meetings
  • Knowledge of Rules and regulations governing public access to agency meetings
  • Knowledge of Principles and practices of public board agenda and meeting packet preparation, content and distribution
  • Knowledge of Principles and practices of records management
  • Knowledge of Principles and practices of customer services
  • Knowledge of Professional grammar, spelling, vocabulary and punctuation
  • Knowledge of Modern office procedures including the use of computers, and software applications relevant to the work being performed
  • Ability to Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with NIHD staff and the public
  • Ability to Establish and maintain professional working relationships with NIHD staff at all levels as well as the public
  • Ability to Develop and maintain a high degree of maturity, integrity, and good judgement
  • Ability to work in a Windows based computer environment and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be available for after-hours work
  • Full-time 8-hour shifts
