Job Summary
Load, dress, and prep sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, and ice cream across multiple stations including the front, cash, and kitchen areas. Operate the cash register, handle transactions, and balance cash following all procedures. Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, and kitchen utensils; take out trash and restock food lines, chips, and coolers. Effectively handle customer complaints, take delivery and pickup orders over the phone, and comply with health and safety standards for food and cleanliness. Manage potential allergens including peanuts, eggs, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, and shellfish. Work evening and night shifts starting after 4pm to help close the shop and maintain energy through the end of the day.
Required Qualifications
- at least 16 years of age
- friendly, customer-first mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- comfortable working in a bustling kitchen environment
- ability to manage potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish
- team player
- able to stand/walk a minimum of 3 hours or as needed
- able to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- food safety certified within 30 days of employment (Illinois Applicants only)
