Job Summary
Plan and control poultry production workflows to meet USDA standards, quality control, and established requirements. Supervise cleanup during breaks and lunch, manage labor costs, packaging, and departmental efficiencies. Reposition employees for ergonomic goals, cross-training, and break coverage without production interruption. Actively encourage positive relations in a multi-language environment and serve as a backup for the Shift Manager. Maintain safety, loss prevention, and job training for current and new staff. Work in a wet, odor-exposed environment with hot and cold temperatures, lifting 40lbs or more.
Required Qualifications
- Four Year Degree in Business, Agricultural Science or related field plus two years experience
- High School Diploma with at least four years of poultry experience (table, machine, cone)
- Previous Supervisory or Management experience managing processes and people
- PC skills (MS Office)
- Ability to enter all areas of the plant and offices
- Must be able to lift 40lbs or more, use hands wrists and fingers to cut and pull
- Must be able to stand for long periods at a time
- Must be able to communicate with all level of employees as well as outside vendors and government agencies
