Job Summary
Safely operate LPG counterbalance forklift trucks to load, unload, move, and organise palletised freight at our new hub in Swadlincote. Use forklift-mounted scanning technology to accurately record freight movements and support full traceability across the network. Handle goods with care, following site scanning, labelling, and placement procedures while working closely with Team Leaders to achieve daily operational targets. Complete daily pre-use checks on equipment and report any faults or maintenance requirements promptly. Follow all health and safety procedures, proactively identifying and reporting risks or unsafe practices. Keep work areas clean, organised, and compliant with company standards. Support wider hub activity when required, including freight checks, bay organisation, and general operational support. Shifts run Monday to Friday nights between 18:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- A valid forklift licence, RTITB or equivalent
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, flexible, and team-focused approach
- Shift: Monday to Friday Nights, with shift times between 18:00pm
Desired Qualifications
- ideally with at least one year's experience
- Experience operating gas or diesel counterbalance trucks
- electric truck experience
