Job Summary
Nightshift Environmental Specialist on Bechtel’s LNG project responsibilities include integrating environmental requirements into project planning, assisting in development/implementation of Environmental Management Plans, supporting permitting and risk assessments, conducting inspections and environmental monitoring, contributing to emergency response and incident investigations, and communicating with customers, subcontractors, and permitting agencies to ensure compliance and sustainable project execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, field biology, or natural resources (or international equivalent)
- 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
- Specialized knowledge in biology, ecology, meteorology, wetlands, archeology, or related environmental disciplines
- Knowledge of environmental laws and permitting processes
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended weeks, weekends, or night shifts
- Field inspection capability including walking on construction sites, climbing ladders/scaffolding, working on uneven surfaces, and PPE usage
