Job Summary
Convey materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated locations. Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated rooms, marking items with identifying information. Wrap pallets manually or using a pallet wrap machine for an 8-hour shift, ensuring plastic is tight for quality. Clean out company trailers by removing empty pallets and crates, then organize them for pickup. Maintain a clean workspace and follow all safety rules while performing these duties. This role requires lifting up to 75lbs and working in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Lift and carry a minimum of up to 25-75lbs
- Wrap pallets with pallet wrap machine
- Ensure plastic is tight to ensure a quality haul
