Job Summary
Supervise a staff of up to 50 individuals, including forklift operators and order builders, to maintain productivity levels while overseeing truck loading for pallet accuracy. Monitor scale and layer pick processes, ensure pick lines are replenished, and maintain facility cleanliness and FIFO pipelines. Enforce safety standards, OSHA regulations, and training requirements for new employees, while managing transfers between warehouses. Assist in staff development and ensure completion of all training protocols. Work Monday through Friday starting at 6 PM, with a requirement to work nights. This role supports Manhattan Beer and Beverage Distributors' growth as a leading beer distributor serving 15 counties, focusing on developing brands and people within a family-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- GED at minimum
- Associate degree preferred
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to work under tight deadlines
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations
- 1-2 years of warehousing and distribution experience in a high-volume environment
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience
- Continuous desire to improve
- Has experience in operating a forklift
- Must be willing and able to work nights
- Familiarity and comfort level with warehousing technology
- Understands the concept of FIFO and has slotting experience
- Experience working with a unionized crew
