Job Summary
Champion safety procedures and lead all warehouse associates through one-on-one coaching, training, and performance management to ensure injury-free operations. Direct and supervise inbound receiving, outbound loading, and dock management while monitoring productivity reports to maintain accurate order fulfillment and cost control. Oversee facility maintenance, enforce sanitation schedules, and lead hiring efforts to build high-performing teams. Manage working shifts using planning tools, resolve operational gaps, and drive associate engagement to support safe, profitable warehouse performance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience in warehouse distribution
- Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce
- Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures
- Strong leadership, communication and people development skills
- Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulatory requirements
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data
- Basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office)
- High school diploma or GED
- 10% travel required, typically for mandatory meetings and/or training
- Must be able to perform physical activities including standing occasionally, walking frequently, driving a vehicle occasionally, sitting frequently, lifting 1-10 lbs occasionally, 11-20 lbs occasionally, 21-50 lbs occasionally, 51-100 lbs occasionally, carrying 1-10 lbs continuously, 11-20 lbs occasionally, 21-50 lbs occasionally, 51-100 lbs occasionally, pushing/pulling occasionally, climbing/balancing occasionally, stooping/squatting occasionally, kneeling occasionally, bending occasionally...
- Must be able to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and push/pull pallet jack controls, doors, product, pallets
- Must be able to climb/balance on/off pallet jack and stairs
- Must be able to grasp objects such as pens, telephone, computer mouse, paperwork, pallet jack controls, boxes
- Must be able to manipulate objects such as boxes, dolly, metal truck ramp, hand truck, paperwork, truck gate, straps
- Must have manual dexterity for typing and use of office machines such as copiers, printers
