Job Summary
Provide high-quality care and support within a specialist children's residential home, helping to create a safe, secure, and nurturing environment where young people can thrive. Carry out regular welfare checks, respond to incidents and safeguarding concerns, and maintain accurate daily records and handovers. Promote positive behaviour through consistent boundaries and relationship-based care while working collaboratively with colleagues, managers, and external professionals. Participate in sleep-ins and on-call rotations, with occasional rota changes to ensure continuity of care. This role involves working with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, contributing to a growing organisation committed to safeguarding and professional development.

- Experience in Children's Residential Care
- Experience in Residential Childcare
- Experience in Children's Support Work
- Experience in Youth Work
- Experience in Social Care
- Experience in Care Assistant roles involving children or young people
- Experience in Behaviour Support
- Experience in SEN or SEMH settings
- Experience in Foster Care or Supported Accommodation
- Experience working with children or young people
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection and professional boundaries
- Good written record-keeping skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A proactive, flexible and child-centred approach
- Full UK driving licence
Desired Qualifications
