Job Summary
Night Stocking Team Leader plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day store operations, mentors and coaches staff, and implements strategies to improve customer service and achieve sales goals while maintaining Meijer standards. Responsibilities include staffing and hiring, succession planning and development, disciplinary actions, P&L and shrink management, ensuring prime shopping hours, product presentation, training completion, and maintaining a safe, friendly store environment with consistent attendance. The role emphasizes leadership, customer service excellence, and team development within the store setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2-3 years of related retail experience
- One year of management experience
- Rotational assignments in other areas of the store (meat, bakery, produce, deli) useful
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly
- Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and manage multiple tasks
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information
- Demonstrated ability to teach suggestive selling
- Demonstrated ability to mentor team members across organization
