Job Summary
Perform patient assessments to collect basic data and organize, prioritize, and deliver care to assigned patients using Inova's Nursing Professional Practice Model. Monitor patient progress toward expected outcomes, adjust care plans accordingly, and provide compassionate hands-on care while maintaining privacy. Document all activities per standards, participate in multidisciplinary rounds, and integrate new knowledge into safe, high-quality patient care delivery. Complete assigned learning sessions and classroom modules for the Registered Nurse (RN) Fellowship, and may serve as a preceptor following orientation. Work a 12-hour night shift (7pm – 7am) at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus.
Required Qualifications
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing
- A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience
- BLS from American Heart Association (AHA)
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license
