Night Shift Production Supervisor

Job Summary
Lead night shift operations from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule, ensuring safe, productive, and efficient manufacturing in a heavy industrial nonwoven environment. Conduct safety inspections, audits, and emergency response activities while monitoring equipment performance to minimize downtime. Drive production, quality, and efficiency goals through shift handoff meetings and daily operational planning. Coach and mentor hourly employees, support hiring and training, and foster teamwork. Identify opportunities for waste reduction and process improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and cost performance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities
- Schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM | 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule
- Walking and standing for extended periods
- Working around large-scale production equipment and automated machinery
- Climbing stairs and accessing elevated platforms as needed
- Wearing required PPE in designated production areas
- Exposure to noise, temperature variations, dust, fibers, and other manufacturing conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- Manufacturing leadership experience within a heavy industrial nonwoven manufacturing environment, or related continuous-process industries such as textiles, paper, or converting
- SAP experience
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Safety-focused leader with a hands-on management style
- Ability to motivate and develop employees
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Experience working with production metrics, reporting systems, and manufacturing technologies
- Commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement
