Job Summary
Conduct total care for each resident in your Resident Group, managing activities of daily living and monitoring behavior to ensure appropriate, continuous, and efficient service delivery. Coordinate with all team members to maintain a holistic perspective while actively engaging residents in activities that maximize their identity, abilities, and interests. Personally orient new residents to their living environment, explain community routines, and ease their transition through individualized interaction and special interest groups. Continually assess residents' ADL skills, document care plan components, and communicate observations to supervisors regarding potential difficulties or improvement opportunities. Resolve service coordination problems promptly and present a professional demeanor that reflects the corporate philosophy of service and goodwill.
Required Qualifications
- A continuous and consistent demonstrated interest in and knowledge about the elderly and their needs and the competency to meet those needs on a consistent basis
- An interest in and willingness to learn and a demonstrated initiative in developing skills in caring for the elderly consistent with the philosophy and policies of the Community
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Skin test or x-ray for TB
- Current CPR and first aid card or show evidence of current enrollment in such training
- Current Aids training certificate
- Current food handler's health card
- Bloodborne Pathogens training
- Must successfully complete orientation skill list within 60 days from hire date to continue employment
- Must be a positive and cooperative team player with peers and superiors
- The above qualifications must be acquired within 30 days of hire and are mandatory required per community licensure
- Within 120 days of employment, the Fundamentals of Care giving training must be completed
