Job Summary
Bechtel seeks a Senior Night Shift Manager - Civil for Dahej, India, to supervise subcontractors and craft professionals, coordinate construction activities, ensure conformance with drawings and specifications, enforce project policies and safety rules, support Construction Field Engineers and Foremen, and manage collaboration across subcontractors. The role requires 20+ years of civil construction experience, a degree in civil engineering or a related discipline, knowledge of Indian standards and safety procedures, contract administration experience, and familiarity with Bechtel’s ES&H and core processes.
Required Qualifications
- A recognized degree in Civil engineering or scientific discipline
- Minimum 20 years of experience in civil construction
- Technical knowledge of all phases of civil construction activities and engineering disciplines
- Knowledge of Indian standards/codes, safety procedures, and ES&H requirements
- Experience supervising and administering subcontractors/craft professionals
- Familiarity with Bechtel's policies, ethics, and core processes (ES&H, environment, contractual practices)
- Ability to coordinate subcontractor activities, schedules, and resources
- Strong understanding of contract administration and project controls
- Experience interpreting engineering/design documents and vendor documents
- Capability to coordinate with engineering on constructability issues
