Job Summary
Maintenance Technician I will ensure maximum operating efficiency and maintenance/repair of machines and equipment in production and facility. Responsibilities include responding to production requests, maintaining production equipment, keeping records of preventative maintenance, creating requisitions for equipment and supplies, assisting other maintenance personnel, complying with safety policies and procedures, and upholding Good Manufacturing Practices and Safe Quality Food Program to meet customer expectations. Requires a High School diploma or GED, at least 1 year of maintenance experience or training, basic mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems knowledge, and familiarity with OSHA regulations; SAP experience and ammonia refrigeration experience are preferred. Physical requirements include standing/walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and repetitive work in a fast-paced production environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 1 year of maintenance experience and/or training or more
- Fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes
- Ability to make decisions based on standard practices
- Entry level experience and knowledge of production machinery and equipment
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations
- Basic computer skills
