Job Summary
Night Shift Maintenance Mechanic at Bongards Creameries Humboldt facility responsible for troubleshooting and repairing cheese-making machinery in a high-speed production environment. Duties include inspecting and diagnosing equipment, performing preventative maintenance on conveyors, wrappers, packaging equipment, AGV, GIA, and FANUC Robots, identifying root causes, installing parts, and troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electronic systems (24v DC, 120v AC to 480V 3 phase). Maintain detailed logs, follow Preventative Maintenance Schedule, and report food safety and quality concerns. Requires ability to work indoors/outdoors in cold/warm environments, with crawling and elevated-access areas; adherence to safety and GMP guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent Math and Reading skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Electrical experience with 24v DC, and 120vAC up to 480V 3 phase highly desired
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of Ladder Logic, Allen Bradley PLCs
- Knowledge of Schematics
- Knowledge of LOTO Procedures
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
- Previous maintenance experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred
- Must adhere to and follow all Safety, GMP, other quality guidelines
- Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or designated replacement
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
- Ability to spend long periods of time standing
