Job Summary
Night Shift Maintenance Lead coordinates and performs maintenance activities to ensure equipment, machinery, and facility systems operate safely and efficiently. Leads, mentors, and supports maintenance technicians, prioritizes work orders, and supports continuous improvement. Responsibilities include assigning and prioritizing work orders, guiding troubleshooting and repairs, training team members on equipment and safety procedures, coordinating daily maintenance schedules, monitoring completion of work orders and preventive maintenance, assisting with workforce planning and performance evaluations, onboarding new technicians, maintaining maintenance documentation, leading shift handoff communications, reassembling machines after repairs, starting machines to evaluate performance, inspecting and marking defective parts, recording maintenance information, reading work orders and specifications, setting up and operating equipment, collaborating with others to repair or move machinery, and ensuring safety compliance. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and experience in machine maintenance with hydraulic/pneumatic systems; PLC/relay logic experience preferred; electrical troubleshooting; reading schematics; VFD troubleshooting; motor controls; welding; ability to read blueprints; strong leadership or team-lead experience is a plus; willingness to work overtime and meet cab crane requirements if applicable. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in machine maintenance
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- PLC and relay logic experience preferred
- Electrical troubleshooting up to specified voltage
- Reading electrical schematics
- VFD troubleshooting
- Motor controls
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Ability to weld
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
- Must be dependable and able to work in a team environment
- Must be able to work overtime
- If required as part of the job, the individual must meet the specific requirements for cab crane operation as outlined on the Cab Crane job description addendum
- Demonstrated leadership or team‐lead experience is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
