Job Summary
Assess resident needs and provide nursing care per care plans while administering medications and treatments based on physician orders. Directly supervise CNAs and Resident Assistants by training staff, assigning work, and addressing performance issues or complaints. Respond to life-threatening situations, maintain resident rights, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Document nursing history and physical assessments, participate in performance improvement activities, and adhere to infection control and safety policies. Work rotating 7pm–7am shifts every other weekend.
Required Qualifications
- A current and valid nursing license
- A minimum of three years of experience in a senior living community
- A minimum of three years of experience in a management/supervisory position or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities
- First Aid and CPR certification
- LifeScan criminal record clearance or criminal record exemption, as required by law
- Health evaluation to ensure ability to perform duties of the position and the absence of any communicable disease, including tuberculosis
- Basic Class "C" Driver's License with a clean driving record, and free of restrictions or limitations as required by State regulation
- Rotating work every other weekend schedule
