Job Summary
Provide direct patient care and nursing assessments while administering prescribed medications and treatments. Monitor patient conditions, report changes, and respond to urgent and emergent medical situations. Assist with chronic care management and maintain accurate electronic medical records. Collaborate with providers and fellow healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care in a safe, structured environment. This full-time night shift role includes a rotating schedule with every other weekend off, offering a sign-on and retention bonus for dedicated LPN candidates joining the Houston County Jail team.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Night shift availability (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Rotating schedule including every other weekend
- Correctional healthcare experience (optional but noted as a specialty)
- Ability to provide direct patient care
- Ability to perform nursing assessments
