Job Summary
Operate CNC machines without oversight on proven production jobs, including milling, lathe, Swiss, and grinding operations. Perform daily maintenance, manage tooling offsets, and execute first-piece buy-offs while adhering to GD&T and industry standards. Conduct in-process inspections using basic measuring equipment, record data on inspection travelers, and maintain accurate part counts on job routers. Report machine collisions, malfunctions, and discrepancies to lead personnel immediately. Communicate job-related issues regarding parts, programs, or inspections for resolution. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company paperwork requirements for all operations.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status
- 2+ years of experience running CNC lathes, CNC mills or grinders
- Good understanding of GD&T and industry standards of inspection
- Must be able to stand for the majority of the work shift
- Must be able to work 40+ hours per week
- Sufficient verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be available for weekend shifts
