Job Summary
Oversee all security operations during assigned overnight shifts at Sam Houston Race Park, supervising security personnel and conducting routine patrols to ensure a safe environment. Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and security incidents, taking appropriate action, completing required reports, and assisting with investigations. Monitor access control and surveillance systems while enforcing company policies, gaming regulations, and safety standards. Train, coach, and evaluate security officers, coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders, and communicate significant incidents to the Director of Security. Maintain a visible security presence while providing exceptional customer service. Must work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events, with a starting salary of $16.00.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain and maintain all required gaming and occupational licenses
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
Desired Qualifications
- Additional law enforcement, military, or security training
- Previous supervisory experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment during emergencies
