Job Summary
Drive an automobile along a predetermined route to survey repair and service needs for sign and lighting components, documenting outages with photographs and notating details per established procedures. Locate signs on area maps to determine outage locations and addresses, estimate issue characteristics, and report findings to supervisors. Relays information to other departments, store managers, and owners while determining and planning best traveling routes to ensure full geographic coverage and efficient time management. Maintain records and logbooks, and perform cleaning, preventative, and operator maintenance on company vehicles. If using your own vehicle, mileage is paid. This role supports the Night Patrol Supervisor and assists with map drawing to aid techs and contractors.
Required Qualifications
- Less than high school education
- up to one-month related sign project experience or training
- state-issued driver's license in good standing
- any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to drive an automobile
- Ability to communicate in person
- Ability to see from a distance
- clarity of vision at a distance of 50 feet or more

- We do test for marijuana
