Job Summary
Oversee overnight hotel operations, conducting night audits, balancing revenue from rooms and food & beverage, and ensuring accurate billing. Provide proactive service to all guests, addressing concerns, managing late arrivals and early departures, and escalating issues to appropriate teams. Lead and mentor the overnight team, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and emergency protocols. Maximize room revenue through inventory management, yield meetings, and Revenue Management strategies. Review work schedules, manage staffing levels, establish supply par levels, and complete requisitions. Monitor front desk activities for policy compliance regarding rebates, billing instructions, and discounted rates. Investigate disputed charges, manage cashiering procedures including shortages and adjustments, and resolve payment-related issues. Anticipate sold-out situations, monitor overbooked rooms, and handle "walked" guests.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of proven Front Office leadership experience
- Canadian work authorization
- Availability to work overnight shifts on a rotating schedule
Desired Qualifications
- degree or diploma in Hospitality Management
- Knowledge of Opera Cloud PMS System
- certification in First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
