Job Summary
Manage and lead the night team to ensure store operations run safely and legally while the rest of the world sleeps. Oversee all trading activity, including date-rotated delivery, waste management, and replenishment to limit damage. Lead and coach colleagues to deliver shopfloor standards and execute promotions, foyer, and hot spots before handing over to the day team. Work a rolling rota of four nights over seven, including weekends, to maintain availability across all departments.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment
- Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, ideally overnight
- Flexibility to work a range of night shifts, including weekends
- Ability to make decisions independently with a hands-on attitude and a drive to improve processes and people
- Confidence in developing teams and managing change
- Strong customer service focus
- Planning and executing all trading activity on the shopfloor during night shift
- Ensuring delivery is date rotated and waste and returns are managed correctly
- Limiting damage through replenishment
- Leading and coaching night colleagues and team leaders
- Ensuring shopfloor is landed and presentable for customers before handing over to day team
