Job Summary
The Night Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on processing equipment at an aggregate plant. This role involves maximizing the performance of stationary equipment, leading safety initiatives, conducting safety inspections, and completing maintenance services on time. Candidates should have experience in heavy duty maintenance, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain plant equipment. The job requires physical capability to work in various outdoor conditions, operate tools, and lift heavy objects.
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years' experience related to heavy duty maintenance or equivalent training
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and tolerate various working conditions
- Proficiency with a wide variety of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift between 50 to 75 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with oxy/acetylene torch and stick welding, MIG welding preferred
- Mechanical knowledge in heavy equipment maintenance
- Ability to identify basic parts for ordering
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Self-starter with minimal supervision
