Job Summary
As our Hygiene Team Leader on the night shift at Puratos Buckingham, you will supervise and develop Hygiene Operatives to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance across the production site. You will distribute tasks, coach the team, ensure cleaning procedures meet food safety and allergen controls, lead investigations into hygiene-related non-conformances, support audits (including BRC), and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and R&D to sustain a safe, efficient environment. As the most senior person on night shift, you’ll represent Puratos professionally during emergencies and provide clear handovers to the Production team to ensure seamless operations. This hands-on leadership role requires attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to inspire others on the night shift.
Required Qualifications
- Leadership experience in hygiene/cleaning within food manufacturing
- Experience leading a team on night shift
- Knowledge of hygiene procedures, allergen controls, and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP/BRC)
- Ability to investigate non-conformances and support audits
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to train and coach team members
- Proactive approach to safety and compliance
