Job Summary
Granite City Electric Supply is seeking a Night Driver responsible for delivering materials to customers efficiently and safely, maintaining vehicle condition, and ensuring accurate paperwork. Candidates must conduct pre and post trip inspections, adhere to DOT regulations, and provide excellent customer service. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1-3 years of professional driving experience, and a clean driving record. Knowledge of forklift operations and routing software is preferred. The position offers competitive pay starting at $23.00 per hour and includes excellent employee benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Medical DOT Card
- 1-3 years professional driving experience
- Customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 70lbs repetitively
- Good math and reading skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Understanding of maps/GPS
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of and experience with forklift operations and warehouse equipment
- Eclipse software experience
- Experience with routing software
Additional Requirements
- Must have valid, unexpired drivers license
- Must have valid, unexpired Medical DOT Card
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
