Job Summary
Diagnose, adjust, and repair various truck and trailer systems including electrical, brake, cooling, and diesel engines. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication while documenting work on Repair Orders. Adapt quickly to sudden schedule changes and perform daily tasks involving heavy lifting. Use hand, precision, and power tools to maintain equipment in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to repair units on site
- Must be able to come up with quick solutions to keep equipment productive
- Must be able to adapt and make changes quickly
- Must be familiar with diesel engines, all makes
- Must be able to lift heavy objects to perform daily tasks
- Must be qualified to perform DOT FMCSA annual inspections
- Work with a high degree of independence
- Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most standard repair times
- Communicate with management and support team
- Participate and complete all-in company required safety training
Desired Qualifications
- Hydraulic experience
- Diesel engine repair: 1 year
- Mechanical knowledge: 1 year
