Job Summary
Assist with snow removal and perform summer maintenance such as floor stripping, waxing, and painting. Clean assigned facilities and grounds including classrooms, offices, gyms, and restrooms to maintain a sanitary environment. Deliver supplies, mail, and furniture while replenishing classroom and restroom materials. Monitor students and staff in work areas to prevent injuries and respond to immediate safety concerns like facility damage or alarms. Secure facilities by managing doors, gates, and alarms. Prepare sites for daily operations by opening gates and sweeping walkways. Respond to inquiries from staff, students, and parents regarding activities or safety issues. Attend unit meetings and training workshops. Work under direct supervision using standardized procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Operating equipment used in industrial maintenance including electrical cleaning equipment
- Common tools
- Adhering to safety practices
- Basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios
- Read and follow instructions
- Understand multi-step written and oral instructions
- Methods of industrial cleaning
- Safety practices and procedures
- Schedule activities
- Collate data
- Consider a number of factors when using equipment
