Job Summary
Overnight Night Clerk at a full-time hotel shift from 9pm to 9am, performing hourly patrols of public areas, guest floors, parking lots, and back-of-house areas; handling guest requests (lockouts, lost keys, maintenance emergencies), assisting guests with safety concerns, and documenting incidents; collaborating with front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance; and performing light housekeeping tasks including laundry, restocking, and minor maintenance to ensure a positive guest experience during the overnight hours.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent observational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to learn reporting and documenting procedures, emergency response protocols, fire safety regulations, and processes for laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance
- Physical stamina and fitness for hourly patrols and emergencies
- Basic computer skills to utilize company software, draft reports, and generate key cards
- Discernment to know when to involve emergency personnel or leadership
- Ability to take initiative, manage time, and work alone most of the time
