Job Summary
Night Care Professionals provide direct personal care and support to clients during overnight/night shifts at Home Instead Edgbaston, Birmingham. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring health status, maintaining accurate care documentation, responding to emergencies, ensuring safety and welfare throughout the night, supporting medication administration per guidelines, safeguarding, and communicating effectively with clients and families. Requires empathy, reliability for night shifts, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently within a healthcare team. Training is provided; DBS disclosure is required.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in care work
- First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Experience with care documentation systems and record-keeping
- DBS enhanced disclosure (subject to recruitment)
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and safeguarding principles
