Job Summary
Post and balance room, restaurant, and bar guest folio charges while running audit reports and journals from Front Office Systems. Prepare daily revenue reports by auditing system accounts to breakdown food and beverage operations, inputting all revenue, expenses, and allowances to generate the Guest Ledger Summary. Handle computer problems, correct discrepancies in the Front Desk System, and verify/imprint guest credit cards. Check guests in and out, assign rooms based on preferences, and maintain cleanliness of the front desk, lobby, and back office. Ensure complete guest satisfaction by answering inquiries, handling concerns tactfully, and recommending local points of interest. Balance the house bank, file necessary documents, and follow established policies for Winston Hospitality. Maintain security for customers and property assets while understanding emergency procedures for incidents, accidents, fire, or criminal activity.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work all shifts or varying schedules to support business needs
- Must have exceptional knowledge in accounting operations to include all aspects of accounts receivable, accounts payable etc
- Must have exceptional mathematical skills and ability to operate a 10 key by touch
- Must have exceptional abilities to use computer systems
- Must be familiar with computer systems for guest reservation information
- Must verify and imprint guest credit cards for authorization
- Must be well versed in cash handling and accurately balance house bank
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
