Job Summary
Conduct overnight audit management by completing all hotel audit-related reports and sending them out by the designated time on the overnight checklist. Manage security protocols, including locking exterior entrances at designated times and following procedures for late-arriving guests and safety issues. Handle incoming mail as required per the daily shift checklist while maintaining spotless cleanliness across front and back-of-house areas. Greet guests by name upon arrival and throughout their stay, resolving challenging situations with a sense of urgency. Perform data entry, dial telephone calls, and manually manipulate tools and controls while adhering to established guidelines. Work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure safe, organized hotel operations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
- Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Effectiveness at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Desire to serve all guests
- Age of 18 years or older
- Willingness to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based upon the demands of the hotel
- Ability to arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time
- Ability to provide sufficient notice as directed by your supervisor when calling out for a scheduled shift
- Ability to stand or remain in a stationary position for long periods of time (3-4 hours at a time)
- Ability to type on and operate computers and other office machinery or devices, do 10-key operation and data entry, dial a telephone, manually manipulate objects, handles, tools, and/or controls
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, lift and transport supplies of up to 25 pounds throughout the hotel
- Ability to move throughout the hotel and the rooms
- Ability to inspect and visually observe details at close range (within a few feet) and from long range
- Ability to read, write, understand and communicate with others effectively using the English language
