Job Summary
The Night Auditor will close the business day by balancing revenues and receipts, perform bookkeeping tasks, and deliver guest services such as check-ins/outs while ensuring a smooth overnight operation. Responsibilities include greeting and registering guests, processing payments and credit authorizations, maintaining accurate records in the property management system, balancing daily receipts, auditing revenues, resolving discrepancies on accounts, handling reservations and data entry, guiding guests on hotel services and local attractions, documenting guest feedback, and coordinating with overnight housekeeping/maintenance to address issues. The role requires independent work, strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work overnight shifts including weekends and holidays. Proactive security/safety awareness and adherence to hotel standards are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred
- Proficiency in basic bookkeeping and balancing financial transactions
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Proficient in using property management systems and office software
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Willingness to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
