Job Summary
Oversee the day-to-day night operation of the property, including front desk operations, financial reconciliation, and reporting. Follow established procedures to ensure all front office activities meet or exceed standards while maintaining guest information confidentiality. Assist guests, team members, and vendors during shifts, responding to and resolving guest issues as necessary. Maintain a safe environment by reporting security concerns immediately, completing routine property walks, and ensuring all doors are securely locked. Ensure front office, reception, lobby, and storage areas remain clean and organized, while verifying equipment is properly maintained and used as intended. Provide regular communication with all departments regarding updates and problematic situations. Shifts include on-call rotation. Hourly pay ranges from $24 to $25 DOE.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year hospitality experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and apply labor and industry-specific laws and regulations
- Must have a valid driver license
- Ability to secure property by walking up and down halls to make sure appropriate doors are securely locked
- Must possess basic negotiation skills
- Strong customer relations skills
- Full knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Outlook, Excel and Word
Desired Qualifications
- 2 year hotel/clerk experience
- Previous experience in cash handling
- Previous experience in computerized Point of Sale system
