Job Summary
Manage all aspects of front desk operations, including checking in and checking out hotel guests, processing payments per established requirements, and providing information and assistance to guests and vendors. Prepare necessary shift reports for the management team and handle workplace problems by anticipating, preventing, and solving issues as they arise. Identify and correct potential security problems, such as locking doors after hours, while remaining approachable for all guests. This position requires flexible scheduling availability based on guest occupancy, season, staffing, and other factors. Island Hospitality offers a formalized training and development program with a clear path for growth within the hospitality business.
Required Qualifications
- Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to identify and correct potential security problems (locking doors after hours, etc)
- Ability to work alone and work well in stressful situations
- Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service
- Flexible scheduling availability
