Job Summary
Hilton College Station is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to lead kitchen operations across all food & beverage outlets. You will manage menus, food and labor costs, budgeting, and HR activities while ensuring sanitation and safety standards. This role reports to the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage and requires strong leadership to drive quality, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five years of culinary experience in a related position
- Two to four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience
- Ability to lead and manage kitchen staff
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and procedures
- Budgeting and cost control experience
Desired Qualifications
- Hotel experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of business and management principles
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
- Ability to delegate, manage manpower and organize complex projects
- Listen effectively and communicate professionally with guests and associates
- Demonstrated ability to plan menus and estimate food costs/budgets
- Strong budget and cost-control experience (labor and food costs)
- Experience in training, coaching and performance reviews
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities
- Experience in interviewing, hiring, scheduling, and staff development
- Ability to supervise sanitation and safety compliance per regulations
- Familiarity with payroll/administration and cost reporting
- Experience managing multiple outlets and high-volume kitchen operations
- Two to four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience
- Hotel/restaurant operations familiarity
