Job Summary
Conduct the Night Audit in accordance with Fine Hospitality standards, accurately analyzing day's operating results including accounts payable, receivable, and end-of-day statistics. Reconcile credit card transactions and cash, transmit daily management reports to corporate, and process reservations via various channels. Balance and audit front office functions for accuracy while reviewing communications logs and handling guest complaints effectively. Inform management of unique operational developments and coordinate efficient handling of incoming messages. Train front desk personnel on the Property Management System and assist in other areas as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma
- 3 years hotel front office experience
- Must be able to work night shifts
- Must be able to work weekends
- Must be proficient on the use of the Property Management System
- Must be able to train front desk personnel on the system
- Must have a good understanding of all of hotel operating procedures
- Must be able to use all front office equipment such as credit card machine, copier, and fax
- Must be able to coordinate and efficient handling of incoming phone calls, emails, facsimiles, and messages
- Must be able to process reservations by mail, telephone, fax and central reservation systems referrals
- Must be knowledgeable of room types and offered rate plans
- Must fully understand hotel's franchise policy on guaranteed reservations and no- shows
- Must be willing to assist in other areas as required, including but not limited to trash disposal in all public areas
- Must be able to handle guest complaints effectively and tactfully at all times
- Must demonstrate a high level of integrity
- Must take ownership of personal and team actions
- Must communicate effectively
- Must be able to promote goodwill by being courteous, friendly, and helpful to guests, managers, and all other associates
Desired Qualifications
- Higher level of education
- 1 year as a Night Auditor
