Job Summary
Audit, balance, and report on hotel operational areas including food and beverage, rooms, and front desk to provide accurate financial information. Oversee front office operations during the overnight shift by checking accounting records, tracking room revenues and occupancy, and preparing summaries of cash, check, and credit card activities. Post room charges and taxes to guest accounts, verify all postings, and compile reports for management while performing front desk agent duties. Requires a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Accounting background preferred
- Previous hotel experience desired
- Strong customer service orientation and skills
- Present a professional image, and able to communicate well with both guests and employees
- Ability to operate front office equipment and computers
- Ability to compile facts and figures
- Ability to understand principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts
