Job Summary
Audit, post, and balance daily cashiers work by accurately posting room fees, taxes, and paid services to guest accounts. Verify all account entries are balanced, settle discrepancies, and ensure credit card systems reconcile with daily transaction lists. Greet guests, complete registrations and check-outs, handle reservations, and collect payments at check-in and check-out. Maintain accurate bank records, keep the front office stocked and clean, and follow safety protocols. Work two days a week at $25 per hour with bonus opportunities and a potential ski pass.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Significant attention to detail
- Ability to operate front desk equipment: computer, switchboard, credit card machines, etc.
- Understanding of basic math skills
- Good verbal and guest interaction skills
- Ability to work as a cohesive team member - relaying information appropriately from shift to shift
- Must be able to stand for several hours at a time
- May be required to lift items up to 25 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- experience in a Hotel or a related field
- Ability to collect money and issue change where applicable
