Job Summary
Conduct nightly audits of front office accounting records by posting room charges and taxes to guest accounts, processing vouchers, and verifying balances. Balance day's charges, correct errors, and run end-of-day processes in property management software. Summarize cash, check, and credit card activities, along with occupancy statistics, for management review. Serve as a front desk agent handling check-ins, check-outs, guest requests, and complaints while maintaining knowledge of emergency procedures. Work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English
- Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests
- Shift work is required, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand and move throughout front office and lobby while continuously performing essential job functions
- Ability to lift to 25 lbs
- Ability to work well under pressure, dealing with many arrivals and departures within a short period of time
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced environment
- Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests
- Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers, both in person and by telephone
- Strong customer service skills
- Basic Accounting skills and ability to compute accurate mathematical calculations
- Skilled at resolving challenges efficiently and effectively
- Knowledge of hospitality operations
Desired Qualifications
- Previously hospitality experience preferred
