Night Auditor and Hotel Operations

Conduct end-of-day activities including posting charges, running night audit backups, and rolling dates. Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, and credit; handle adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, and correction vouchers. Manage guest check-ins, assign rooms, and operate the electronic key machine. Sell available rooms to guests without reservations and operate the telephone switchboard for wake-up calls and messages. Complete the Room Rate Variance Report, count the bank, and balance receipts per Accounting specifications. Welcome guests, address service needs, and maintain work areas and cleanliness standards. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the manager.
