Job Summary
Respond to guest requests, complaints, and accidents at the Front Desk or through Reservations while following up to ensure satisfaction. Motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline Guest Services personnel according to Aimbridge Hospitality S.O.P.'s, and conduct all interviews and performance appraisals. Supervise the Night Audit function by monitoring the House Charge Worksheet and Flash Report for accuracy, and maximize room revenue by reviewing daily status and analyzing rate efficiency. Prepare and conduct employee schedules, review worked hours for payroll, and present Wage Progress Reports to the General Manager weekly. Operate the Front Office computer system, including software maintenance and report generation, and monitor the P.B.X. console and reservation processes. Ensure correct cash handling, maintain key control systems, and coordinate all aspects of the ongoing implementation of the Aimbridge Hospitality philosophy of service.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- 2-year college degree and 2 or more years of related experience
- 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- Supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems
- Company approved spreadsheets
- Word processing
- Valid driver's license from the applicable state
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
