Job Summary
Greet and welcome guests, completing check-in and check-out procedures while registering visitors and verifying payment information. Manage reservations across online, phone, and in-person channels, coordinate with housekeeping for room readiness, and respond to guest inquiries or complaints. Perform night audit duties by balancing daily transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing operational reports for management. Monitor overnight hotel activity and assist late-night guests with arrivals and departures. Work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support smooth daily and overnight operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, up to eight hours per shift
- Ability to walk, reach, bend, and stoop as needed
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Clear verbal communication in person and over the phone
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other departments
- Ability to handle guest concerns and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and transactions
- Professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with guests and team members
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to learn hotel management systems
- Flexible schedule based on operational needs
- Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency response situations
Desired Qualifications
- Coursework or a degree in hospitality, tourism, or hotel management
- Previous experience as a hotel front desk agent, night auditor, receptionist, or similar customer service role
- Experience working with hotel reservation systems such as Cloudbeds, RoomKeyPMS, or similar property management systems
- Familiarity with online travel and booking platforms such as Booking.com and TripAdvisor
- Experience providing customer service in a hospitality or service-oriented environment
- Basic knowledge of financial reconciliation or night audit procedures
