Job Summary
Monitor store operations for potential loss and safety concerns using security systems. Respond to emergency situations or disturbances threatening the store, customers, or Associates. Look for and assist in investigating potential internal theft, including apprehension and arrest of shoplifters. Complete detailed reports and communicate with law enforcement as needed. Keep store management, Asset Protection Manager, and Area LP Lead Agent updated on security or safety issues. Provide a safe and customer-friendly environment while following all company policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one year related experience
- Completed or in the process of completing a college or technical school education in criminal justice/law enforcement
- a minimum of 3 to 6 months related work experience or training
- past military security training and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers, or Associates
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discount, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, and volume
- Ability to apply mathematical skills and concepts to practical daily store operations and issues
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Knowledge and understanding of city and state regulations and procedures in all security matters
- Knowledge of NFI Loss Prevention Security Policies and Procedures
- Successfully completes company use of force policy training
- first aid and first responder training
