Job Summary
Assess and monitor critically ill patients, operate advanced life-support equipment, and administer complex medications in the intensive care unit. Perform and interpret hemodynamic monitoring including arterial lines and central venous pressure while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses to maintain regulatory compliance. Provide education to patients and families regarding treatments and recovery expectations while collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Adhere to strict infection control protocols and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. Requires one year of recent ICU experience, CCRN certification, and valid RN license.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ICU RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
